The thirty-second Claude prompt that checks your site's AI visibility, the three questions AI asks about every site, what a 12 out of 100 visibility score actually meant and how it got fixed, and the one free cross-platform consistency fix almost nobody checks.
A website can look finished to a human visitor and still be nearly invisible to AI search tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity. Checking whether that's true for your own site takes about thirty seconds to start.
Right now, somebody is asking ChatGPT to find someone who does exactly what you do. There's a real chance your name never comes up. Not because you're not the right match. Because AI can't see you.
In U.S. ecommerce, visitors referred by AI converted at 11.4%, compared with just 5.3% from organic search. That gap is only getting wider, and most people building websites right now have no idea about this.
So, in the next thirty seconds, you'll find out exactly how visible your own site is right now. Then I'll walk you through the three fixes that took my site from invisible to actually showing up, step by step.
Open Claude right now. Paste in your website's URL. And ask this:
"Here's my website: [URL]. Check my robots.txt, my sitemap, and my homepage. Tell me plainly how visible I am to AI search tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity, and exactly what's stopping me. If you can't reach my site for any reason, say so instead of guessing."
Hold onto whatever it gives you back. The rest of this video explains what it found and what to do about it.
I had Claude build my own website. I described what I wanted, it wrote the code, live the same day.
After 20 years of teaching complex ideas and hundreds of hours testing AI tools, I've realized that having a website and making it visible to AI are two completely different jobs.
I originally missed this on my own site. But I recently saw a video about something called GEO. Think of it as SEO, but for AI: it adjusts your website so ChatGPT and Perplexity can find it and actually read it. I realized my site was probably in the same spot. So I asked Claude the same thing I just had you ask. The results: practically AI invisible.
A person looking at your site and AI reading it see two different things. Your page can look great to a visitor and be nearly invisible to AI. Nothing breaks. It just doesn't show up.
Here are the three questions that decide that:
Can AI find you? If you're blocked or hidden, nothing else matters.
Can AI read you? Good information hidden behind a video, a PDF, or something that loads late might as well not exist to AI.
Can AI trust you? AI checks other places that mention you, and trusts you more when they all agree.
Once you know these answers, fixing it gets a lot easier.
I asked Claude to score my site's AI visibility. I got a 12 out of 100. Here's why. When AI searched for my site, it found nothing. My sitemap, the map that tells search engines what pages I even have, was empty. All six of my free guides were locked inside Google Drive links, so AI could see a title and nothing else. None of my videos had readable text, just audio. And nowhere on my site did it clearly say who I am, in a way AI could actually understand.
Since Claude had built the site in the first place, I had direct access to everything. So Claude and I went through every issue on that list and fixed it, one by one.
The results: I'm showing up in search 140 percent more than before, and when people do find me, I'm showing up higher in the results too. I used to land around the eighth spot on average. Now I'm closer to the fifth, according to Google Search Console data from August 24, 2026.
It's not perfect. My video pages still need one more piece of behind-the-scenes labeling to be fully done. I'm saying that because the honest version is more useful than the polished one.

Here's the cheapest fix on this list, and almost nobody checks it. AI reads more than your website: your Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, any social media. It looks for agreement. So if you say the same thing everywhere, AI is more likely to trust it. Disagree, even slightly, and it plays it safe and picks someone else.
Do this: pull up your Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, and About page side by side. If they don't say the same thing, change it. Same words, not just the same idea. That's one of the highest-leverage fixes on this list.
A few months ago my site was finished but invisible. Now it's indexed, readable, and trending up, on real numbers, because it stopped being invisible.
You don't need to be technical. Just ask Claude to help you with the process.
Getting AI to read your site solves one problem. It doesn't solve the next one: whether the Claude you're using every day actually knows anything real about you and your work, or if it's just guessing. That's a different kind of invisibility, and it might be costing you more than your website ever did.
